Colgate 51 – Syracuse 86
After a 43-14 halftime lead, Syracuse could coast.
Wisconsin 74 – Virginia Tech 72
Wow, what a finish. Wisconsin had a decent lead most of the game until A.D. Vassallo decided he was incredible and he basically single handedly tied it up. Then Trevon Hughes hit the difficult runner in the lane for the win. Check out the three point shooting in this game. Wisconsin was 12-18 and Virginia Tech was 11-16. The extra foot did not seem to bother these guys.
Delaware State 49 – Connecticut 79
No contest.
Kent State 60 – Kansas 87
Kansas shut down Al Fisher, forced a bunch of Kent State turnovers (led by Chris Singletary’s 6), and dominated at the foul line for a fairly easy and pretty impressive victory. After this 0-3 stretch, Kent State is really running out of chances.
San Diego 77 – CSU Bakersfield 65
Gyno Pomare had a good game as San Diego shot over 60% from the floor. The WCC might be strong enough that San Diego could still have a shot for an at large bid, but they need to finish up real well in the rest of their nonconference schedule.
San Francisco 69 - USC 74
This game was decided at the foul line. This would have been another nice feather in the cap of the WCC, but this might end up being a decent looking win for USC.
